bailey jack is discovering herself as a folk artist after working many years in the corporate world. She enjoys the freedom of expression that she has found in painting. bailey has quite a knack for finding salvaged wooden planks & cabinet doors. These materials become the canvases & frames for many of her paintings. Her work gathered fame when a painting called “Moon Doggie” was chosen for a house featured on HGTV. Now there are an ever-growing number of doggies trapped in the moonlight, all painted with a great deal of affection. bailey says they only exist in her mind, but dog lovers can see that they are in her heart as well. Cats, birds & other critters also reside there. Another series of paintings are beautiful “tablescapes” which evoke the best memories of life in the Southern kitchen and at the Southern dinner table. Using fluid lines and bright colors, bailey’s goal for her art is to bring joy to the viewer, the same joy she feels in creating it. You may also see some of her work signed "c. bailey jackson."
